Hair vitamins that promise hair growth almost sound too good to be true
Hair loss is a natural part of life, but if you’ve been stressed out, it can feel personal.
It’s incredibly common, and a major search term over the last couple years.
Hair loss or thinning hair can be caused by a variety of culprits - including nutrition deficiencies. So while vitamins and supplements are not a miracle cure by any means, the right ones just might make a difference in the way your hair looks and feels.
“Vitamins are essential for healthy hair growth and may help in preventing hair shedding and thinning,'“ says Michele Green, MD., a cosmetic dermatologist in New York. “The best vitamins for hair growth include B vitamins, vitamin D, vitamin E, zinc, biotin and iron.
After research, personal recommendations and checking out the highest ranked on the market, I decided my personal favourite is Moon Juice’s SuperHair. All of their supplements are carefully curated with a sustainably-sourced balance of adaptogens, vitamins, and botanical ingredients for maximum potency. It’s also vegan:)
I love Moon Juice’s focus on quality ingredients in all of their products. Their sourcing is next-level and each ingredient is carefully selected to provide a specific benefit. For example, the Ashwagandha is from Pradesh, India.
Check out this chart that breaks down 4 different brands, including SuperHair.
That being said, everyone is different, including their hair. What works for some people may not work for others. Remember - hair growth and healthiness are influenced by a number factors; including nutrition, genetics, medical conditions, hormones and even stress.
Do your research, ask around and don’t expect instant results, if you get them, that’s awesome but I think real results happen at the 3 to 6 month mark. I am currently on month 2 of taking SuperHair every day. I do notice a difference so far - less shedding and slightly thicker at the new growth.
You might be thinking - Besides taking the best hair vitamins, what else can I do to promote hair growth? That’ll be on the next blog;)
PS. it’s normal to shed anywhere from 50 to 100 hairs a day!
